Conte Is Said To Replace Solskjaer
LONDON: Based on several reports, Antonio Conte is said to be open to becoming Manchester United’s new manager.
However, the operator wants assurance he has full authority over the transfer of players before replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Norwegian manager is under pressure with the ‘hot seat’ at Old Trafford after his side were humiliated 5-0 by Liverpool yesterday.
His future continues to be speculated with the Manchester Evening News claiming Conte is interested in filling the post.
But the report also mentioned that the Italian operator wanted certainty about the team’s direction, planning for decision -making and leadership issues.
The former Chelsea boss is also said not to want to submit to the club’s hierarchy involving players who can be ‘marketed’.
Conte is currently ‘unemployed’ following leaving Inter Milan just days after the team won the Serie A title.
He had also already refused to become Newcastle manager before Steve Bruce was sacked last week.
