Hat-trik From Lewandowski Lifts Bayern

BERLIN: Robert Lewandowski widened the Bundesliga to 10 goals in the first five games of the season after scoring a hat-trick as Bayern Munich beat Eintracht Frankfurt 5-0.

“I hope to maintain this rhythm for a long time – no matter who our opponents are, we always want to show our best football, we always want to win,” Lewandowski said.

Lewandowski has scored nine goals in his last three Bundesliga games and completed his hat-trick within an hour at the Allianz Arena.

Defending champions Bayern have scored 22 goals this season – 10 over league leaders RB Leipzig who remain at the top after a 2-1 win over Hertha Berlin.

Bayern trailed one point in second place, collecting 12 points equal to Borussia Dortmund in third place.
