Ibrahimovic As Top Scorer, Milan Lead Serie A
His team-mate Zlatan Ibrahimovic made him feel young, the 39-year-old said after scoring his seventh Serie A goal of the season to give AC Milan a 2-1 win over Udinese, leading the Italian goal scoring chart earlier this morning.
The former Swedish star has been the inspiration for the Rossoneri since returning to the club in January and has shocked almost everyone except himself.
“With full confidence, I really expect it,” he said after helping Milan to the top of Serie A.
“It was not perfect. I failed in a few penalties and missed too many chances. But everything was fine.”
“We are a young team, I slightly improved their performance but they made me feel young.
“We work hard, we believe in something and we train well. They are very thirsty for success, so enthusiastic, never satisfied with matches or training sessions.”
“We believe in what we are doing,” he added, who scored the winning goal in the 83rd minute.
“The coaches did a good job and the team complied, so everything got easier.”
