Two Goals From Morata Helps Juventus Won In Budapest
BUDAPEST: Another double goal by Alvaro Morata led Juventus to a 4-1 win over Hungarian dwarf Ferencvaros when Cristiano Ronaldo returned after a COVID-19 infection for his first appearance in the Champions League this season.
The Spaniard exploded in every half, repeating his two goals against Dynamo Kiev in the opening match of Group G while Paulo Dybala’s late goal as well as Lasha Dvali’s own goal made it easy for Juventus to overtake the hosts here.
“I feel good, I have everything I need at Juve,” Morata said.
“Everything I experienced during my career, good and bad, helped me become a better player,” he said.
In heavy rain, Juventus opened the scoring in the seventh minute when Leonardo Bonucci broke through the home side and sent Juan Cuadrado on the wing.
The Colombian sent a low pass to the goal to complete Morata from close range.
Near the end of the first half, Andrea Pirlo’s squad should have been two goals ahead but Morata who could kick straight instead gave it to Ronaldo, but the player’s attempt was thwarted by Miha Blazic.
