Chelsea Beat Newcastle

LONDON: Chelsea soared as leaders of the English Premier League (EPL) after beating Newcastle United 2-0 at St James Park, just now.

Frank Lampard’s men dominated most of the game and led the game just after 10 minutes of the match.

Mason Mount’s cross was blocked by Newcastle defender Federico Fernandez to give the Blues the lead.

Chelsea, however, squandered some chances to widen the gap and end the first half with just one goal.

Tammy Abraham, however, scored the second goal for Chelsea in the 65th minute after finishing Timo Werner’s pass through a quick counter-attack.

Newcastle did not pose a challenge to Chelsea with the defeat certainly putting pressure on Toon operator Steve Bruce.
