Ronaldo Scored His 750th Goal
TURIN, Italy: Stephanie Frappart was the first woman to become a Champions League referee just now when Cristiano Ronaldo scored the 750th goal of his career as Juventus won 3-0 over Dynamo Kiev.
The Italian champions have advanced to the last 16 with Group G champions Barcelona, but can still overcome the Spanish representative with them in second place, three points behind before the clash at the Camp Nou early Wednesday morning.
“Another obstacle has been broken, we know he is very good which is also very important,” said Juventus football chief Fabio Paratici about Frappart’s role.
The 36-year-old referee has also made history as the first woman to judge Ligue 1 and the 2019 UEFA Super Cup final between Liverpool and Chelsea. He also played a role in the Europa League in October.
Juventus have some problems on the field against the Ukrainian club who also beat them 2-0 in Kiev on 20 October.
Federico Chiesa inspired the victory when he opened the scoring in the 21st minute before helping Ronaldo and Alvaro Morata add two more goals in the second half.
