Solskjaer Praised Pogba’s Great Performance
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is pleased with Paul Pogba’s performance in Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Sheffield United earlier this morning.
Pogba scored Anthony Martial’s goal at Bramall Lane as United became the fourth team to record 10 consecutive victories on the opposing court throughout the history of the English Premier League (EPL).
Only Alex Telles (96) had a higher ball touch than Pogba (91) in the match and the French national player also won three of the six fights in the air besides winning the ball eight times.
United manager Solskjaer praised Pogba, who is being linked with a move to leave the EPL giants.
“We made that decision. Of course we are aware of (Pogba’s) strength in the air. We are aware he will be an important player for us. He won almost every header,” he told a news conference.
“His vision and creativity. Paul responded very well to his efforts. He is now fit. Great performance.”
Marcus Rashford scored a double goal that flanked Martial’s goal while Mason Greenwood was the only United player to try again.
