Zidane: Hazard Needs Time
Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane said Eden Hazard needed time to get back to the best level and start the game from the bench during a draw with Elche.
Hazard was a substitute when LaLiga champions Real were tied 1-1 with Elche, after not playing for Los Blancos since suffering a thigh injury last month.
The Belgian international star, who was not used as a substitute against Granada last week, was introduced with 13 minutes left and failed to make up for Real.
“[Eden Hazard] needs time, he needs time to play and will get back in the rhythm to be in the starting line-up,” Zidane said.
“I think we should have scored the second goal in the first half because we played well [against Elche] and we fought harder in the second half, but we have to keep working hard and moving forward in the same way as we did recently. because there are still a lot of matches to be played in the LaLiga. ”
Real lost to LaLiga leaders Atletico Madrid after winning five consecutive games.
Luka Modric opened the scoring in the 20th minute before the penalty completed by Fidel Chaves seven minutes before the end of the match saw them share points.
