Arsenal Beat Leicester City 3-1
LEICESTER: Leicester City’s desire to continue to hamper English Premier League (EPL) leaders Manchester City shattered after they were disappointed with a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Arsenal, just now.
Disappointed to be knocked out of the Europa League in the middle of the week, The Foxes started well when they took the lead as early as the sixth minute through Youri Tielemens.
However, David Luiz tied the score for The Gunners after heading in Willian’s free kick in the 39th minute before Alexandre Lacazette completed the penalty kick at the end of the first half.
Arsenal continued to widen the gap when Nicolas Pepe scored the third goal in the 52nd minute when Willian’s pass was deflected right at his feet.
This is Leicester’s sixth home defeat of the season and 10 points behind Manchester City.
Arsenal jumped to ninth place but still eight points behind the top four.
Meanwhile, another action that took place at Selhurst Park involving Crystal Palace against Fulham ended in a 0-0 result.
