Juventus Close Gap With Inter Milan

MILAN: Juventus are vying for the 10th consecutive Serie A title after beating Spezia 3-0 and closing the gap with league leaders Inter Milan to seven points.

Andrea Pirlo’s squad broke the deadlock in the second half through Alvaro Morata, Federico Chiesa and Cristiano Ronaldo. Juve are currently just three points behind AC Milan, who are second.

“The gap is just the eye that separates us. We realize it takes time to catch up.

“Inter have been playing together for the past two years, their approach has been solid, while we are just starting this season,” said Pirlo, who took over the team earlier this season.

The Turin giants have won the last nine titles of the Italian League, but have had to work hard this season to ensure they are not snatched away by any of the Milan giants.
