UCL: PSG Beat Barcelona

PARIS: Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) advanced to the quarter-finals of the Champions League after recording a 1-1 draw with Barcelona in the second leg of the group of 16 here, just now for a 5-2 aggregate when Lionel Messi also scored a goal and despite the penalty.

PSG were first in front after half an hour when Kylian Mbappe managed to complete a penalty kick and became the first young player to score 25 goals in the tournament.

Messi, however, managed to equalize 1-1 through a goal from a distance of 25 feet beyond the reach of goalkeeper, Keylor Navas.

The Argentine star was unlucky after that when he failed to complete a penalty and saw Barcelona eliminated from the tournament, 24 hours after veteran star Cristiano Ronaldo and his team, Juventus also suffered the same fate in Turin.
