Barcelona sensation Ansu Fati said he was learning from captain Lionel Messi after creating another record in the Champions League (UCL) competition, early this morning.

It was a record-breaking action as LaLiga giants Barca opened Group G with a 5-1 win over Ferencvaros at the Nou Camp.

Messi became the first player to score 16 times in a row in the UCL competition after a penalty kick was completed in the 27th minute.

Fati scored the second goal of the match to become the first player to score two UCL goals before celebrating his 18th birthday.

“Messi is still Messi,” Fati told Movistar. “He can score in any match.

“We are very happy to still be able to partner with him and I continue to learn from him.”

“We started with a stylish victory, we have to keep going,” Fati said. “I want to thank my teammates, they made it easier for me to play and score.”

Philippe Coutinho, Pedri and Ousmane Dembele also scored for Barca, while Gerard Pique was sent off in the 68th minute.

Barca will shift their focus to meet LaLiga challenger and defending champions Real Madrid.
