Bakayoko Joins Napoli From Chelsea

ROME: Chelsea player Tiemoue Bakayoko has signed a loan contract with Napoli, the Serie A club has announced.

Napoli said Bakayoko joined Gennaro Gattuso’s team for a year.

In the statement, the club president, Aurelio De Laurentiis also welcomed the player.

Bakayoko, 26, rejoined Gattuso, who played for Italy in the 2006 World Cup, while representing AC Milan. Bakayoko was previously loaned to Chelsea in the 2019/2019 season.

Last season he was not with Chelsea but was loaned to Monaco with a contract until 2022.

Italian media reported Napoli would pay two million euros out of its 3.5 million euros annual salary.
