Brother Urged Pogba To Join Barcelona
LONDON: Paul Pogba’s brother Mathias has urged his brother to leave Manchester United and join Joan Laporta’s revolution in Barcelona.
The Frenchman has shown impressive performances at United this season and looks better than ever.
But his brother again sparked transfer speculation and hoped the United star would join Barcelona.
Pogba’s contract, 28, will expire next year and he is reportedly demanding a salary of £ 400,000 a week to remain with United.
United refused to comply with his request, sparking speculation about Pogba’s transfer.
Juventus, Real Madrid and Barca have been linked with Pogba’s move but financial problems have forced European clubs to look for more lucrative alternatives.
However, Barca’s new president, Laporta, is determined to spark reforms by bringing in quality players once the season is over.
Mathias urged his brother to take the opportunity to be a star with the Catalan giants.
When asked by the media about his brother’s situation, Mathias, who is also NK player Tabor Sezana, said: “Once he wins the Europa League, we will talk about it.
“I don’t know anything, but I’m in his place. I’m going to join Barca.”
Only nine players – including Marc -Andre Ter Stegen, Lionel Messi, Ansu Fati and Frenkie De Jong – are said to remain in Laporta’s plans.
