Fabio Cannavaro’s Son Joins Lazio

The son of former Italian captain Fabio Cannavaro is now joining Lazio.

“Andrea Cannavaro, 16, joined the Biancocelesti B-17 squad, led by Marco Alboni.

The teenager was previously with Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao, which his father has been running since 2017.

Former Inter Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid defender Fabio Cannavaro has spent most of his career in the Italian top division league but has never tasted Serie A.

He led Italy to the 2006 World Cup, where he also named him the winner of the Ballon d’Or award the same year.

He later became one of the successful head coaches in China by winning a League One title with Tianjin Quanjian in 2016 before winning the Chinese Super League with Guangzhou last year.
