Heung-min, Kane The Spurs Savior
BURNLEY, United Kingdom: Son Heung-min broke the deadlock for Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Burnley in the English Premier League at Turf Moor earlier this morning.
The victory jumped Jose Mourinho’s squad to fifth place in the league as other big clubs dropped points.
Spurs initially seemed to almost leave the Turf Moor with just one point but Harry Kane and Heung-min’s move in the 76th minute allowed them to collect 11 points after six games, two behind Everton leaders.
Mourinho praised his two strikers, who have now combined to score 29 Premier League goals – behind Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard, who have collected 36 goals.
“It is an understanding that dates back to the era of Mauricio (Pochettino). I do not want to accept that praise alone, it needs to be shared with Mauricio.
“They’ve been playing together for a long time, maybe in a different way because Harry isn’t always number nine right now.
“What makes me happy about them is that they are not only great players but also good friends, have no jealousy and both play for the team,” Mourinho said.
