Hopefully Not Messi’s Last El Clasico
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is hoping Lionel Messi stays with Barcelona despite speculation about his future who will move at the end of the season.
Messi is linked with a move to Barcelona including rejoining his mentor, Pep Guardiola, at Manchester City next season.
The 33 -year -old Argentine has a professional career with Barcelona, which he joined as a teenager in 2000.
“Hopefully he stays at Barcelona,” Zidane said ahead of the ‘El Clasico’ clash, early tomorrow morning, which could be the last for Messi.
“He’s comfortable there and it’s also good for the Spanish league.”
Another player who has also been linked with a move is Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, whose contract has expired.
Ramos will miss Barcelona due to a muscle injury.
“Hopefully it’s not his last Clasico either,” Zidane added.
“Unfortunately he won’t be playing tomorrow. But, I hope he stays here.”
