Koeman: Messi Is Happy In Barcelona
Ronald Koeman believes Lionel Messi is happy in Barcelona after another record-breaking performance by the six-time Ballod d’Or winner.
Messi scored his third goal in a 3-0 win over Real Valladolid earlier this morning – the team’s 644th captain surpassed the number of goals scored with a club previously held by Pele.
Goals in the first half from Clement Lenglet and Martin Braithwaite allowed Barca to comfortably lead the match at the Estadio Jose Zorrilla before Messi overcame Pele’s 18-year record at Brazilian club Santos.
Although Messi expressed his desire to leave the LaLiga giants, Koeman believes his star is now happy with the team.
“I’ve said a lot about it,” Koeman said. “I see Leo happy here.
“She is very important to us with her creativity.
“You can see it when there are good players next to it.”
