Manchester Is Full Of Expensive Players
LONDON: Manchester City’s squad is currently worth 926 million pounds, making it the most valuable club in Europe but Manchester United are not far behind.
The average cost per player in City’s squad is £ 37 million, following the arrival of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa last summer.
City’s extraordinary investment was featured on the opening day of the English Premier League with Pep Guardiola lining up the most expensive starting line-up but losing 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur.
The City squad is priced 12 times higher than Norwich City, who are returning to the English Premier League this season.
Manchester United are just 49 million pounds less than City in spending for the squad this season after bringing in Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The total total of the United squad is 877 million pounds.
In third place is French club Paris Saint-Germain worth 820 million pounds following the presence of Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan.
The Spanish giants Real Madrid are worth 675 million pounds.
Chelsea are in fifth place at 669 million pounds, followed by Liverpool, Juventus, Barcelona, Arsenal and Tottenham for the top 10.
In total, English Premier League clubs spent £ 1.6 billion over the last three transfer windows, followed by Serie A at £ 255 million.
