Mbappe: Not Our Best Performance
BARCELONA: Kylian Mbappe believes Paris Saint-Germain have yet to reach their peak after their hat-trick helped them beat Barcelona 4-1 in the last 16 of the Champions League at the Camp Nou.
“We are very satisfied. It is a very important match for us.
“We want to come here and win, and we do it in style,” said Mbappe after helping PSG bounce back from falling behind to record a victory.
The victory came without PSG star Neymar and Angel Di Maria injured, with Barcelona first opening the scoring with a Lionel Messi penalty.
Apart from Mbappe, Moise Kean also found a target in the French club’s victory.
Mbappe is the second visiting player to score a hat-trick over Barcelona in the Champions League at the Camp Nou after Andriy Schevchenko for Dynamo Kiev in 1997.
The 4-0 defeat to the Ukrainian club at the group stage was the last time Barca conceded four goals at home in the European competition.
Barca will travel to Paris for a rematch on March 10.
