Salah Positive COVID-19

KAHERAH: The Egyptian Football Association has announced its star, Mohamed Salah, confirmed positive for COVID-19 but without any symptoms.

A spokesman for the association said the smear test carried out on the national squad “showed our international player, Mohamed Salah, a Liverpool star infected with coronavirus.

The Egyptian winger became the latest Reds star to be infected with the virus after Sadio Mane, Thiago Alcantara and Xherdan Shaqiri.

The latest development is definitely worrying Liverpool after they face a player injury crisis.

A few days before Salah was positive, Joe Gomez had to take a long break due to a knee injury while Trent Alexander-Arnold also suffered an injury against Man City.
