Suarez Tested Positive COVID-19

MONTEVIDEO: Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez has tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss the World Cup qualifier against Brazil, tomorrow morning, the Uruguay Football Association (AUF) has announced.

“The test was conducted on all the players in the national team. The test results saw the players, Suarez and Rodrigo Munoz including the officer, Matias Faral found positive COVID-19.

“However, all three are in good condition,” AUF said in a statement.

Last Saturday, Uruguay defender Matias Vina was also tested positive for COVID-19 after the team recorded a 3-0 victory over Colombia at Barranquilla.
